Truly one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had! Kitchen was super well stocked (and I’m a cook), the views were incredible, and close to everything.  We woke early to watch eagles from the porch.  Lots of towels and literally every detail considered. Clean and plenty of space for our family!

Adam's Place is located right on the shores of Gastineau Channel. His porch is a great location to drink coffee and watch bald eagles. It's located 5 minutes from downtown Juneau, so the location is great for being close to all Juneau has to offer. We had a problem with the kitchen faucet and let Adam know. He had it fixed in no time. Adam is very responsive. If there's any downside it's that you really can't walk out the door and go for a walk anywhere. The road to Adam's Place is pretty busy and not sure you can walk along the channel at low tide. All in all, my wife and I agreed that if we come back to Juneau for another visit, we'll stay at Adam's if it's available.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our flight got in very late after delays and the other guests on the top floor had parked in our spot. I notified Adam right away and parked in the street for the night. Had more issues the next night with parking but not really Adam’s fault - they were having a party and did move their cars. One note is that you hear everything in the unit and above.

Beautiful spot on Douglas Island! There aren't a lot of great hotel options in Juneau proper, but just on the other side of the bridge is this gem of a place. We were just stopping through Juneau for a couple of nights on our way back from a trip to Haines, and it was so nice to be just slightly removed from the activity of downtown Juneau while four cruise ships were docked. It's either a very short Uber or a 25-minute walk (approximately 1.7 miles) from the house to downtown. The place is well-maintained, nice amenities, and super comfortable beds. Lots of backyard space with wonderful views of the mountains and Glastineau Channel. 10 out of 10!

Phenomenal location. Nestled in the pines giving great privacy, terrific wildlife viewing as the chum salmon peak their spawning. No need for any other entertainment than watching all age groups of Eagles feed in the channel, negotiate hierarchy, and nest. Home is elegant with simplicity and high end finishings. Contemporary, new construction, with great workmanship on concrete flooring. Heated flooring in the bathroom is a treat. Excellent, high functioning washer & dryer. High end kitchen in the middle of the home provides incredible views but lots of space for the family to work together in meal prep and mealtime. I have stayed in dozens and dozens of airbnbs and this home is truly my favorite.

Place is ideally located to downtown Juneau -- everything is walkable but you are away from the cruise ship crowds.  Adam was an excellent host, proactively communicating and very responsive when we had questions.

The flat is clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The hot tub was so soothing after days of long hikes and bike rides. Best for folks with a car, as it's a 30 minute walk into town, but the walk is pleasant and the odd Uber was not expensive.  Loved this place!

We were two grandparents and two grandchildren (ages 14 and 12). Everyone loved the duplex. It was nicely appointed; the kitchen was well stocked; the furniture was very comfortable… especially the beds; the view was great and Adam was extremely helpful while we were there and even before we got there. He sent a “Guidebook“, which had helpful information about the accommodations and recommendations for restaurants, as well as interesting activities. All the restaurant recommendations proved to be spot on. Location is perfect. It is on Douglas Island, just across the bridge, about 5 to 10 minutes from the center of Juneau. The duplex has a nice view of the cruise ships docked in the Juneau harbor.

The views from this oceanfront apartment were absolutely amazing, and the sauna was a wonderful bonus. The apartment was spacious, clean, and featured a large private deck that was perfect for enjoying the scenery. We loved living on a boat for a week! We sat each morning and night on the deck of the boat watching boats come in and out of a busy harbor. The views can't be matched. The boat suited our needs well. Auke Bay is a fantastic location with plenty of places to walk to while being a close drive to more adventures. We'd stay here again!

The view is spectacular! House met our needs, although it was a bit cold. It’s across from Juneau, but only takes 5 minutes to drive.

There’s plentiful wildlife and scenery off the back patio, the home was in perfect condition, one of the newest, cleanest VRBO’s we’ve stayed in, and very well stocked. It was so nice to land here after flying all day. It is very close to the airport, but being nestled away in the woods, it feels remote. It is also a very short ride to downtown and the many hikes Juneau has to offer. It was clean and cozy, and the kitchen was stocked with basic things like olive oil, spices, and cooking ware, even down to the sandwich bags that allowed us to pack lunches and avoid buying unnecessary meals out. Would definitely stay here again.

I’d say this place is the best bang for your buck. It’s got just about the best view of the mountains/water and it outside of the busy city yet just a short drive away from everything. The sauna was a nice accommodation along with the griddle outside, and some delicious Alaskan coffee waiting to be ground up. 10/10

Upon check-in, I noticed a strong damp/mildew smell throughout the apartment, as though it had recently been wet and needed airing out. The toilet was also broken on arrival and was not repaired until the following morning, leaving me without a working toilet my first evening and morning. Although I was told the chain had simply been reattached, it continued breaking and I ended up fixing it myself several times. Cleanliness also felt lacking, with visible spiders and webs in the corners that I cleared myself. The most concerning issue was privacy and communication. Around 4am the first night, I heard someone walking directly outside the bedroom window along the private gated pathway, and the next morning the gate was left open. I later discovered the person I had been talking with was not actually the owner, despite the listing/communication implying otherwise. After follow-up messages, I was told the owner had forgotten guests were staying there and had gone into my private area.

The toilet issue was caused by a loose chain, and we regret the inconvenience this caused. We have also followed up with our cleaning team regarding the odor, spiders, and webs mentioned. Privacy and clear communication are very important to us. To clarify for future guests, this is a private apartment attached to a main home. The apartment itself is private with no shared spaces. The surrounding outdoor areas, including beach access, are not advertised as exclusive guest-only spaces. That said, we have confirmed that no one entered the apartment or went down near the apartment during this guest’s stay. The gate down to beach was opened and the dog went down to the beach.

This is a lovely spot to stay! It has very easy access to Juneau and the airport. The place was right on the channel and we had breakfast every morning in the Adirondack chairs watching the eagles and other birds as they fished and strutted along. Quite beautiful.

You’ll want a rental car to drive to town and to venture the neighborhood. Communication with the owners was perfect. We will stay here again! Very much recommended. I really enjoyed staying there. The hosts were really helpful and friendly when I met them on the street or when I requested assistance but other than that, they left me in total peace and privacy. The place is really nice. The bed is comfortable. I enjoyed watching the eagles making their show on the river in front of the outdoor terrace. Sometimes you can hear some noises from upstairs but never at night and never in the bedroom because it seems there is nothing above the bedroom. The location is perfect if you have a car. it's close to everything in Juneau but with a great view and wildlife and a space to park your car for free I will definitely stay there again.

The check-in was seamless, kitchen immaculate (as was the whole property), and the sauna was so wonderful, especially after long days of biking and sightseeing. And the views!!!! So many eagles are nesting around here that it’s a daily show—watching them and the shorebirds interact with the extreme tidal changes is exciting in itself! Quiet and comfortable… Most people will want a car to get here, but we used a taxi for our arrival and departure and bikes (30 min one-way to town) and walking (1.5 hours one way) for the rest of our stay.

Great place with amazing views from the deck. This is a lower level and private “apartment” of a house. The location was so peaceful and scenic. Everything you would need in the kitchen and we cook some great meals using the grill outside. Sauna was a nice addition and we loved it. Couple things to note- the bed is a double bed and is smaller than a queen. But we are small people so didn’t mind and it was comfortable. The lock was broken (still worked but easy to “break in” on the entry sliding door and the owner said they had a new door on order. All in all, great place and would recommend!
